Change

Saturday, January 1, 2011

No, not the change that's about to happen once I start implementing all 100 New Years resolutions.

Just a few little changes around this here blog.

Change #1: A new header. Whaddaya think? It only took me about 6 hours to make it in Photoshop today. Hello, time suckage. Now hopefully I won't be sued for stealing that flower image from the Pottery Barn website that was on my old one. I did that? Oh yes, yes I did.

Change #2: Easy to find tabs underneath the header that will take you to separate pages such as: My Projects, House Tour, Features, FAQs, etc.

Change #3: My very own domain. I have no idea what that really means except that you can now type this:

..... into your address bar and end up here. Alex bought the Cozy.Cottage.Cute. domain for me for Christmas (he's a bit of a computer nerd expert). What a guy, eh?

Change #4: Better quality pictures. I hope.

Here's where I need your help. Can you please let me know with a quick comment if there are any glitches with broken links, feeds, pages, or photos? Everything was supposed to switch over seamlessly but I anticipate there might be a few small problems.

Also, out of curiousity, is there anything you'd like to see more of on this blog??

More easy projects?
More tutorials?
More furniture painting?
More baking?
More of my own home?
More sewing?
More photography/pictures?
More everyday life stuff?
More inspiration pics?
More jibber-jabbering?
More random shots of Roary?

Alright. I'm off to paint the third coat of white onto that desk thingy. What a pain!!!

  1. Ooooh, I want to know step by step about the desk thingy makeover! Specifically, do you have to sand and prime that kind of finish or just one or the other? I always think I'd like to refinish a piece of furniture, but I am too scared the paint I put on it will chip off or flake or look otherwise like I had repainted it with my Kindergarten students.

  4. Hi Sarah,
I really love your decorating style and I would like to see more of that if anything. I am still fairly new to your blog, so maybe you already do a lot of that, not sure. Everything seems to look good so far.
It is really nice that you have your own domain and it is so nice to have a hubby that knows something about computers. Mine has helped me with my blog over the holidays and I am so grateful.
    Hugs, Cindy

  5. Hi, I'm a new follower so I can't give you much advice about your updates. I love the tags idea. I have blogger so I don't have a clue about how to do that. I'm interested in decorating, projects and any baking.

  9. I've been following your blog for a little while and my favorite thing about it is what I say to myself when you post a how-to project...."hey, I could do that..." And then when I do and it actually turns out like it's supposed to,
well, nothing could make me happier! So just keep doing what you do best and I'll be following along. Thanks!

  12. I love, love LOVE the new blog design. Your header is absolutely adorable!! Gosh, I would love for my blog address to match the name of my blog, but I am definitely not willing to pay for it. My husband tried to figure out how to change the address of my blog to the new name, but couldn't figure out how to do it(for free). I wish there were a way. :(
Can't wait to see what the new year has in store for you! Thanks for all the inspiration!!
    Beth.
