This'll Be Random, K?

Hi, hello, how are ya doin???

I'm still barely alive and trying uber hard to get back into the whole work routine thing. It's haaaaaaard. I really loved summertime life. Eating toast for each meal of the day (I love you Cheesewhiz, I love you peanut butter, I love you Nutella). Reading blogs while sipping giant mugs of coffee. Wearing pajamas until noon. Watching girlie movies every night. Daily Homesense visits. Sigh. I haven't been to Homesense in three weeks!!!!! Waaaaaah.

Remember how I have two dogs now? Apparently when you have a golden retriever and a short-haired collie you will have dog fur everywhere, all the time. The situation was so out of control that I spent the entire day yesterday vacuuming dog fur from every corner and crevice and nook and cranny in the whole house. Not including the basement 'cause that's still under construction.

I officially decided to end my love affair with yellow. I'll be heading to the paint store asap to choose a new colour or colour(s) for the living room, dining room, sunroom, and front entrance. I know I'll shed a few tears but I've come to terms that our relationship has run its course. I'll keep you updated once I find some paint swatches that I like. So exciting!

Even though I had zero energy this weekend I was able to do one little tiny project. I planted a climbing hydrangea that has been sitting on the corner of the deck since I bought it in the spring. The spot I wanted to plant it in was hard as a rock and full of clay so I suckered Alex into helping me dig the hole and adding some garden soil. I tried to help but my arms were all wobbly and jello-like.

Eventually I'd like to build a trellis so the hydrangea can climb up the side of the house. The tag said that some will grow up 30 or 40 feet up the side of a building!!! That would be so pretty. Hello, Miracle Grow.

And in fall decorating news, if I ever get around to making any fall decorations I think I might try this one:

I sure love the smell of cinnamon. Yum, yum.

Okay. I'm out. No need to drag this post out any longer.

But, I do have a few things I'm working on so come back soon.

P.S. Anyone else finding this back-to-school time ca-razy busy? :S
