200+ Followers Giveaway - Cutest Alphabet Stamp Ever

Sunday, November 14, 2010

I've been thinking for some time that you dear readers deserve some sort of special present for signing on to read my insane ramblings and for always leaving such sweet, motivating comments. I'm just a wee bit addicted to your comments and feedback.

Summary: I like you.

I never imagined that I would ever have 226 followers. I remember when I only had 4 or 5 of them. They were all my fellow adoption peeps that joined on just so I wouldn't cry (thank you girls). I'll never forget when I joined my very first "link party" in July of this summer. I had no idea what I was doing but I entered the furniture makeover challenge at The CSI Project. My little striped table and chairs made the top ten. After that, I was hooked.

I've always dreamed of doing something more creative for a living. My ultimate dream would be to have my very own home decor shop with tons of cute, cozy, cottage-y things. Of course everyone in my town would stop buying their furniture from Leons and my shop would become a huge success. Sigh. Anyway, this little ol' blog kind of fulfills that creative side for me.

Summary: I like blogging.

I've been trying to think of a fun giveaway item and the lightbulb went off yesterday. How 'bout I give away an alphabet rolling stamp (just like mine)? All the ones I've been able to find are imported from Asia and are sold on Etsy. I got mine awhile back and LOVE it.

This little stampy thing is so cute! Here are three of the projects I've used it for so far:

 Giveaway Guidelines:
{Open to Canadian and U.S. residents.}
{Giveaway will close next Sunday at 9:00 p.m.}
{Three chances to win. Make sure to leave a separate comment for each entry.}

Chance #1

1. Just be a follower of this here blog. It is kind of the point of the giveaway in the first place, eh? (Had to put the "eh" in there, hee hee!) Leave a comment letting me know that you follow along. If you've been reading in silence for a long time, this is your chance to finally say hi!

Chance #2

2. Leave a comment letting me know what project or craft you would do with your own alphabet stamp. This is not a ploy to steal your ideas (my eyes are suspiciously averted to the ceiling right now).

Chance #3

3. Spread the love and mention this giveaway on your Blog, Facebook, or Twitter. Leave a comment letting me know that you did. I am trying to get to 250 followers, ya know. :)

  15. I would definitely use the stamp to make tags like you did because they are so cute, and probably birthday cards, etc. But I would also really like to find a cute way to organize and store things for Owen, so I would use the stamps to label lovely boxes with things like "art supplies", "musical instruments" and "finger puppets"! Then I would know where they go when he pulls everything out and throws them on the floor! Cute organization makes me happy! :)

  28. Comment #1:

    Not trying to be a copy-cat myself, but we started doing some Christmas tags earlier in the fall (you know, when we thought we'd have time to make a zillion and sell them), and the very cute letter stamps I bought are trickier to use than they look. So a stamp like this would be great.

    And, I would also be quite likely to stamp random things in my path - cats, dogs, walls...just watch out. (Ok, maybe not walls).

    ReplyDelete
  29. Comment #2: Duly posted on Facebook to help you attract lots more followers!

Have you tried stamping ribbon? Not sure if it would smudge...but it would be cute if you tie a little bow and stamped the words Merry Christmas on the little tails... And I would probably use it on my calender that I have on my fridge... and would find lots of places to use it. Unfortunetly as you know I don't have facebook,twitter or a blog but talk about you at work alllll the time and tell people to come visit cause your pretty much wickedly awesome and you rock! xoxo

    I saw an idea a while back that I've been wanting to do where, after you've framed family photos with mats, you label the names, place, date or whatever directly on the mat. This would be perfect for that!

Back when you posted about the alphabet stamper, I immediately went to Etsy and bought one. It is so great and I'm having so much fun with it. So if, by chance, I am randomly chosen for this giveaway, put my name back in the hat and draw someone else. Because this little stamper must be shared with the masses.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I would love to try to stamp fabric with it!
    think it would work?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Sarah! I not so secretly read your blog to be reminded and inspired about the coziness and cuteness that I will someday have in my renovation project/log home.

    Lately I've been into making cards for people instead of buying them. Partially because I'm cheap/drowning in reno debt, and partially because the manufactured sentiment of mass produced greeting cards is long ago lost on me. I would use the stamp to bring my cards to the next level of awesomeness.

    OR I'd give it to Jeni for Xmas, but it's more likely that I'll just make her a card to soften the blow of her losing and ME WINNING!

    *fingers crossed*

    I have been a follower for a few months now,
    LOVE YOUR BLOG! I use FeedDemon for my blog feeds and youre at the top of the most followed list. ;) Im a new blogger, only a few posts so far, its slow going and hard to do with my real job looming overhead. Stop on by if you get a chance. This blog baby is definitely still in diapers, but Im working on getting into Toddler stage!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Here's my chance#2 at this awesome stamp!!

    Here I am again! Right off the bat, I think it would be cool to use this stamp to stamp the inner lip of my kitchen cabinets with the contents. I am constantly telling hubby what goes where. Since the lip isnt seen when they are closed, only once you pull them open a bit, he might actually find (or replace on the rare occasion) stuff! Also, it might help mother-in-law who leaves clean dishes on the counter in fear of putting them in the wrong place. heehee!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Here's my chance#3 at this awesome stamp!!
    Me again... I will mention this giveaway on my blog. However sadly, because I am a brand-spankin-new blogger and have no followers, it wont do you much good in reaching your goal. :(

It would be nice just to cut out all the tags and then stamp right on them. Thanks!

  142. My project? Hmm, well, the little ones' baby books, def. And tags for my upcoming closet organizing. Christmas tags. My outgoing mail (how fun would that be?!)
    I saw an idea a while back that I've been wanting to do where, after you've framed family photos with mats, you label the names, place, date or whatever directly on the mat. This would be perfect for that!

  143. And I would totally use the stamp to label an old card catalog that needs new labels in my dining room. And I would make some of those adorable tags too...

  144. Congrats on 200+, girl!!! Wouldn't it be awesome to have your own shop?! Tons of work, but picture perfect...especially if it was on main street in the center of town and you could walk there from your house (always its like this in girly novels!). I'm a follower and I love stamps and text in general. Thanks for the great giveaway!!!

  146. I'd do gift cards with the alphabet stamper. Great idea for a giveaway, by the way.

  149. This is my first time on your blog... and i found it because i have been searching for an alphabet rolling stamp!! I will keep coming back and reading your blog. I want a rolling stamp for everything!! I have made personalized valentines boxes for cookies and currently I am making baby shower invites for my sister in law and I wish I had bought this stamp when it was available. I can't find it anywhere and i'm tired of on letter at a time... for big parties and such. Thanks for using it well!! :)
