Our Republican President Donald Trump might be from New York City, but unfortunately New York City is a hotbed of liberals. In a major switch from “America’s Mayor” Rudy Giuliani, who kept New Yorkers safe after September 11th, New Yorkers got too comfortable and elected extreme leftist Bill de Blasio to be mayor.
In predictable and sad fashion, Mayor de Blasio joined the screeching chorus of protesting liberals and made a big show about how angry he is with President Trump for his courageous executive order protecting America from radical Islamic terrorists slipping across our borders. Mayor de Blasio, however, got hit with terrible news.
Bill de Blasio showed up on CNN’s State of the Union to defy Trump by saying that the seven nations ban was an affront to religious liberty. He said, “This sends a horrible message to them that for no reason whatsoever they could be detained or even sent to their home country even though they’re part of the life of the United States.”
Jake Tapper rebuked de Blasio saying that it is not a Muslim ban, but a ban on seven countries that also have non-Muslims as well. De Blasio didn’t have time to listen to reason, and responded, “The indication here is it certainly leans against people come from the Muslim majority in those nations.”
When some people did some research, however, they found that de Blasio is a total hypocrite when it comes to “religious liberty.” Last year he pledged to boycott a Chick-fil-A from opening in New York City, saying, “What the ownership of Chick-fil-A has said is wrong. I’m certainly not going to patronize them and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorker to patronize them.” Mayor de Blasio lost all credibility when it comes to “religious liberty.” Do you think he’s a hypocrite?
