Ricky Whittle is the latest star to be caught up in the widespread ‘sex-tape’ leak.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, who now lives in Los Angeles, is reportedly worried about the potential damage it can do to his career and has tried to get the footage removed.
“It was a consensual act which was filmed in private, so to discover it has leaked on to the web has really taken him by surprise,” a source said.
“He’s done what he can do to try to have it pulled down. But there’s no telling how many people may have saved it or shared it.”
They added to The Sun: “It’s very concerning — and people are only just discovering how widespread this practice is becoming.”
The 35-year-old Oldham-born actor, who previously appeared in Dream Team, Holby City and Hollyoaks, currently stars in TV series American Gods.
The newspaper also previously claimed a former England footballer, a BBC presenter, a Hollywood actor and a former X Factor star are “panicked” that their own footage could make its way online.

Insiders say the recently leaked tapes appeared after the Celebrity Busted website – the sex tape specialists – had one of their accounts hacked.
It’s understood female models initially get in touch with the celebrities via social media before filming them on Skype.
Just last week, footage allegedly showing boxer Amir Khan pleasuring himself while chatting with a female model was leaked.
