And you can fit in all your major furniture and this wall is only for extras? Love the idea of the 3 ledge shelves! Just make sure your area rug is soft/easily wipe able, you will be doing a lot of sitting, lying and playing here (and he'll probably pee and throw up on it)!!! I love to hang out with Maura on the area rug in her nursery, it makes such a cozy place to be together:)Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459211820940379244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-87725104090651904452012-02-12T10:06:52.900-05:002012-02-12T10:06:52.900-05:00ooh it is going to be adorable, sarah!!! seriousl...ooh it is going to be adorable, sarah!!! seriously- love the little crates and accessories!!! can't wait to see this room come to fruition!Cassie @ Primitive & Properhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07848936864799611251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-92190117203211133202012-02-11T20:26:30.846-05:002012-02-11T20:26:30.846-05:00Congratulations on Little Ninja! It is always nice to have a spot to put the special items. Instead of crates why not big wicker baskets? A little softer for a moving Little Ninja! Whatever you do it will be awesome!Kellynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-69799228465898720782012-02-11T19:03:47.755-05:002012-02-11T19:03:47.755-05:00Joy, Thanks for the bench idea. I'll be looking for crates and/or a bench on my next antique road trip. :)

Claire,

I painted those stripes for Ethiopian baby and so I'm saving that room for him or her. :)

Tricia,

I've got a tall, narrow dresser that is going to go in the spot between the windows. Thanks for the tip about walking into the crates though. I'm just wondering about the location. What are you putting between the windows? Could you put it there instead. I'm just thinking that in the middle of the night when you're half asleep and you have to go in there will you walk into it all?Triciahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00974419983321226169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-68211321921288645922012-02-11T16:48:07.557-05:002012-02-11T16:48:07.557-05:00I think that could definitely work well. Love the ...I think that could definitely work well. Love the crate concept. Alternatives might be a single or double shelf, one with a row of hooks to hang vintage-y and keepsake-y clothing items, etc. - or a rod/rack under a shelf for keepsake baby blankets - I need to do something like that for our kids (our daughter has a hand-made bonnet, a First Nations necklace too pretty to store out of sight, and some decorative old watches, etc. hanging on a shelf with hooks in her room). If you opt not to go with crates, I don't know if a narrow bench would fit there? Our rooms are also old and small, and very quaint. I've semi-blocked views a bit out of necessity, with things like shallow bookcases with lots of storage potential, but not too much bulk. Happy decorating!Joyhttp://joyandgeoffsplace.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869671739598945673.post-35714689915579663732012-02-11T16:06:29.605-05:002012-02-11T16:06:29.605-05:00Love the three shelf idea....Can't wait to see...Love the three shelf idea....Can't wait to see the finished room.
